What is Automation
Application of Automation is the use of machines and technology to make operation run on their own without manpower or in other words Automation contain any upgrade to an action that turn down human labour while resulting in an outgrowth that’s greater than that of the prior process and very useful in real world.
According to PC Magazine Automation is “Replacing manual operations with electronics and computer-controlled devices”.
It occur when technology does the work that was previously done by humans and as a result increases productivity, improve efficiency, enhanced flexibility, greater output of quality, error free work, maintain consistency, saving time and cutting costs.
How Application of Automation Useful in Real World
a) ATM machines for acquiring cash which is simpler than formerly going bank for money withdraw.
b) Office automation put back manual typewriters, filing cabinets and paper appointment books with computer appliance.
c) Tape and disk libraries have been called ‘automation systems’ because robotic arms pick cartridges out of a stacker and move them to the drives.
d) Paperless billing allows companies to send invoices via services that automatically send paperwork through a database server, wipe out the need for a human to sort paperwork and mail confidential information to every individual.
e) For companies with multiple users editing and changing documents, automated services such as Google Docs allow for quick updates by multiple parties.
f) Automation allows individuals to greatly save time on testing (e.g. software testing, QA testing, web link testing) and running reports. Tests can be done frequently. Reports can then be found and outcomes compared to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
g) Automated web analytics software allows for consumer behaviour to be predicted in advance with amazing accuracy, allowing a wide range of digital product and service providers to exceed their customers’ expectations.
h) Automated workplace tools like Comfy can connect employees directly to office buildings and workplace systems, allowing them to request temperature changes, see available meeting rooms, and control lighting.
j) Bill Pay is great addition added to banks, credit cards, utility companies and more. Having late payments should become a thing of the past, using automatic bill pay or scheduled bill pay has made these tasks done without thought.
k)Streamline so many processes with phone apps – shopping lists, paying a cashier, pizza ordering, banking, budgets, etc.
l) Unlike human, industrial robots do not experience fatigue and inaccuracies. Instead they can produce high-quality goods at a very fast pace once configured properly. For example, robots can manufacture goods with a precision not found in even the most skilled human workers. In numerous way Automation is useful for us.
As a result, companies like Apple can offer consumers high-quality goods at cheap prices.
Thus it is proven that application of automation is very useful in real world.

- Some of the common skills currently parroted by AI include visual awareness, speech recognition, decision-making and flexibility.
- Automation of Big Data is the most disruptive technology changing its supremacy completely. Recently, the researchers from MIT conducted the test of Big Data Analytics by removing the human factor from its processing.
- Its level of accuracy was up to 96% in this test. Interestingly, while humans took months for decoding their prediction algorithms, the machines did the same in just few hours.
Following Examples illustrate Application of Automation In Real World
Artificial Intelligence(AI) and Machine learning(ML) are already being used across all industries. The success of these technologies is determined by real-world use cases, such as:
1) Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
It deal with software that can be simply coded to do key chore across applications just as human workers do. The software robot can be instructed a workflow with multiple steps and applications, such as taking accepted forms, sending a receipt message, inspecting the form for perfectness, filing the form in a folder and streamline a spreadsheet with the name of the form, the date filed, and so on. It is formulate to lower the burden of recurring, simple jobs on workforce.

Control your accessories remotely : Say “Hey Siri,” then say something like: “Turn off the fan in the living room.”
6) AlphaGo
AlphaGo is a Google DeepMind Project. It is an artificial intelligence (AI) agent specialized to play GO, a Chinese strategy board game, against human competitors. The ability to create a learning algorithm that can beat a human player at strategic games is a measure of AI development. “AlphaGo” is designed as a self-teaching AI and plays against itself to master the complex strategic game of Go.
AlphaGo is based off a Monte Carlo algorithm tree search based looking at a list of possible moves from its machine-learned repository. Algorithms and learning differ among the various versions of “AlphaGo”. AlphaGo Master, the version that beat the world champion Go player Ke Jie, uses supervised learning.
“AlphaGo is not only a major achievement in the pursue for AI, but also an indication that IT now has entered a new era,” said Wang, the vice president and secretary general of the Chinese Association of Automation.
According to Fei-Yue Wang, a professor at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. As a result, IT is no longer “information technology”—the new IT is intelligent technology.
7) The Well Fargo Chatbot
It interacts with customers and answers queries, thereby reducing call center load. And behind the scenes, companies are using automation to speed processes to become lean performers.
8) DeepFake (Artificial Intelligence)
Deepfake is an AI based technology used to produce or modify video content so that it presents the thing in different way than actual. The term is named for a Reddit user known as deepfakes used deep learning technology to edit the faces of celebrities onto people in pornographic video clips. The term, which applies to both the technologies and the videos created with it, is a portmanteau of deep learning and fake.
Deepfake video is created by using two competing AI systems — one is called the generator and the other is called the discriminator. Basically, the generator creates a fake video clip and then asks the discriminator to determine whether the clip is real or fake. Each time the discriminator accurately identifies a video clip as being fake, it gives the generator a clue about what not to do when creating the next clip.
Together, the generator and discriminator form something called a generative adversarial network(GAN)). As the generator gets better at creating fake video clips, the discriminator gets better at spotting them. Conversely, as the discriminator gets better at spotting fake video, the generator gets better at creating them.

True. Nice. But the problem with automation is once something goes wrong either Breakdown etc, the whole line of mfg comes to halt. We need to have contingency manual arrangements to keep things moving. Moreover Safety standards are not so optimum in our country. Once programmed Robot does not stop in case of mis happening. It keeps working. Robotisation need to be backed by stringent safety standards.
Very very useful article… Thanks for sharing… Keep it up..
good one….there is a bit of automation in this page…just change the language and observe text getting translated in diffrent language….and there is some deviation too…
Then unemployment/berojagari will increase much more n more
Wow! This is a very convincing review! Too bad prices in Brazil for all of the iRobot line is incredibly high – prohibitive, I would say. The latest models such as the 980 are also seldom available. Do you have a suggestion in the 600 series? These are probably the best we could do over here without spending the price of two month’s salary.
