Cumin is a common and well-known ingredient used in tempering. Its better to cumin dry fried on a pan and used. 3-6 gms , once or twice a day after food can be taken along with hot water or honey or ghee.

How To Make Cumin Water / Jeera Water / Cumin Tea

      Cumin Water / Tea  by Boiling the Cumin Seeds

  1. Take 1 teaspoon cumin seeds in a vessel.
  2. Add 1 cup of drinking water to it.
  3. Heat the vessel for about 5-6 seconds over low flame.
  4. After boiling , keep aside it for 5 to 10 minutes.
  5. Strain the cumin water and drink it in the morning on an empty stomach.
  6. Add half a teaspoon honey in it , to enhance the taste.

    Cumin Water by Soaking the Cumin Seeds

  1. Take a teaspoon of cumin to a glass of drinking water.
  2. Leave the seeds overnight to soak.
  3. The next morning, discard the seeds and drink the water on an empty stomach.
  4. Add cinnamon or lime juice to this drink to make it tastier.

    Cumin Water

  • Take a half glass of lukewarm water.
  • Add teaspoon of cumin(jeera) powder.
  • Add 1/2 teaspoon of  coriander (dhaniya) powder.
  • Add 1 teaspoon honey and drink it half an hour before meals for better result.

 There are no reports of side effects when the herb is used properly in adequate amount.However excess consumption of cumin resulted as following side effects.
